Following the incident of desecration of Azadari in I-10 Islamabad
1986
I-10 Islamabad

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

All praise is due to Allah, the One who breaks the power of tyrants, destroys the oppressors, catches up with the fleeing, and blessings and peace be upon the Seal of the Prophets, Abu al-Qasim Muhammad (peace be upon him), his pure family, and his chosen companions.

After this, the Almighty says:

“Seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed. Do not weaken, do not grieve, for you will be superior if you are true believers.”
(Surah Aal-e-Imran, 3:139)

Black Day – Why? Against Whom?

We are observing a Black Day—but why, and against whom?

  • Because even while being citizens of Pakistan, we live marginalized and oppressed.
  • Because our sacrifices—our wealth, our blood—were integral to Pakistan’s creation, yet the Ja’fari school of thought is sidelined in the name of Islam.
  • Because the authorities who claim to uphold Islam allow vulgarity but restrict mourning processions (Azadari).

Black Day Against Sectarian Division and State Violence

We mark this Black Day against those who, under foreign orders, create Sunni-Shia discord to weaken Pakistan. We hold the government accountable for:

  • Failing to protect mourners in Quetta.
  • Attacking mourners in Karachi and Islamabad.

Zaynab (s.a.) and the Lessons of Karbala

“Is it justice, O son of freed slaves, that you keep your own women veiled while parading the granddaughters of the Prophet (PBUH) unveiled through the streets?”
(Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 45, p. 146)

We ask the state: how will you justify I-10 where police insulted women and desecrated homes?

We can give up everything—but we will never give up the Azadari of Husayn (a.s.).

Unity Among Muslims – The Key to Success

Following Imam Khomeini’s (r.a.) vision, we affirm unity. Our enemies are not Sunnis—they are foreign imperialists. We will hold a Unity of Muslims Conference to speak jointly against injustice.

Against Blind Conformity – For True Belief

Islam rejects both egoism and blind conformity. It teaches accountability before Allah, His Messenger, and the believers:

“Say, ‘Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds—and [so will] His Messenger and the believers.”
(Surah At-Tawbah, 9:105)

Our Goal: Azadari, Justice, and Recognition

  • To protect the mourning (Azadari) of Husayn (a.s.)
  • To demand implementation of Ja’fari jurisprudence
  • To gain rightful recognition in all sectors of Pakistan

God is the Supreme Power

“Allahu Akbar” – God is the Greatest.

“When God is great in their eyes, everything else becomes insignificant.”
— Imam Ali (a.s.)

Despair is not for us. The Imam of our Time (a.s.) watches. How can we grieve?

O Husayn (a.s.), We Mourn You Forever

“I will weep for you, morning and evening, and mourn you with blood instead of tears.”
(Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 101, p. 320)

We are not against the people but against the system. We want:

  • Peaceful coexistence
  • Unity based on justice
  • End to divide-and-rule politics

To the Rulers

You must answer: Was this the Pakistan for which our forefathers gave their blood?

“You are free. You are free to go to your temples. You are free to go to your mosques… You may belong to any religion… that has nothing to do with the business of the state.”
— Quaid-e-Azam, August 11, 1947

Then why the double standards? Why the oppression? Why the silence on mosque attacks?

To Our Sunni Brothers

We are your brothers. Let us not fall into the traps of division. Let us stand united, inspired by the message of Karbala.

To the Youth

Do not be silent spectators. Stand up for truth. Your silence today will cost you tomorrow.

To the Lovers of Ahlul Bayt (A.S.)

Raise your heads. Be proud. Your mourning is resistance. You are the followers of Zainab (S.A.).

This Country Is Ours

We will not surrender. We will live and die here as Hussaini. Our azan, our processions, our blood—this soil bears witness to our faith.

Who Is the Real Enemy?

Not Sunnis. Not Shias. The real enemies are imperialism, colonialism, and those who benefit from our division.

To the Shia Brothers

Mourn with purpose. Speak and act in line with the mission of Imam Hussain (a.s.). Show mutual respect to your Sunni brothers. Be just, be honest, be righteous.

Hadith from Imam Sadiq (A.S.)

“If there is a town with 100,000 people, and one Shia lives among them, then he must be the most pious, truthful, and righteous among all.”

Let us reflect and embody these traits.

Final Message

This mourning is our lifeline. We will resolve our issues peacefully and wisely. The proposed changes to our procession routes are unacceptable. We demand reconsideration with mutual understanding.

May Allah awaken us to our responsibilities and accept us among the true mourners of Husayn (a.s.).

Wassalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

If you are a true believer, then defeat does not exist in your dictionary.

Shaheed Arif Hussain al Hussaini

The same blood flows in our veins as in the bodies of Iranians and other Muslims. If they can rise and resist imperialism, why can’t we?

Shaheed Arif Hussain al Hussaini
